Terms of Service

01The Service

Darkstar Intelligence ("the Service") is a competitive intelligence platform operated by Darkstar (darkstarsystem.com). The Service compiles publicly available marketing data - search rankings, advertising activity, reviews, backlinks, website performance, and related signals - into reports for law firms. By creating an account, running a scan, or starting a subscription, you agree to these terms.

02Accounts

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your login credentials secure. Accounts are for a single firm; sharing access outside your firm is not permitted. We may suspend accounts that abuse the Service, attempt to scrape it, or interfere with its operation.

03Fees & Billing

The Service is currently free. Every account receives full platform access at no charge - no payment card is required.

• Free account ($0): includes the full platform, one on-demand full scan per month, an automatic monthly report refresh, and weekly rank digests.
• Future paid features: if paid features are introduced later, pricing will be shown clearly at the point of purchase before you are charged. Nothing converts to a paid plan without your explicit action.
• Legacy subscriptions: if your account has an existing subscription, it remains governed by the Stripe terms shown at checkout when you subscribed, and can be cancelled at any time from your account page. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card details.

04Cancellation

The platform itself is free, so there is nothing to cancel for standard accounts. For legacy subscription charges:

• Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time from your account or by contacting us. Cancellation stops future billing; the current period is not prorated and no partial or full refunds are issued.
• Cancel anytime; your account keeps full platform access on the free plan.
• Duplicate or accidental charges are refunded in full.

05Data & Accuracy

Reports are built from third-party and publicly available data sources. Rankings, traffic estimates, ad spend figures, and revenue projections are estimates, provided for directional insight - not audited figures. We make no guarantee of completeness or accuracy, and the Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

06Acceptable Use

• Do not resell, redistribute, or white-label reports without written permission.
• Do not use automated tools to bulk-run scans or extract data from the platform.
• Do not use the Service to harass competitors or misrepresent report findings as fact in advertising.

07Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Darkstar's total liability arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for business decisions made in reliance on report data, or for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

08Changes

We may update these terms as the Service evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated terms.
